SURFACE TREATMENT

Phosphate and oil are the most common surface treatment for the parts manufactured by TransTechnology Brasil.
We have zinc surface treatments available in diverse thicknesses and appearances, using automatically conreolled equipment.
Other availabe surface treatments are: Dacromet, Deltatone, Geomet, Painting amongts others.

PHOSPHATING AND OILING
To achieve corrosion protection adequate for storage and transport, most of the products are zinc-phosphated and oiled. Products with low thickness tolerance are normally just oiled.

GALVANIZING
If a higher level of corrosion resistance is required, TransTechnology Brasil Products can be galvanized. To improve the properties of corrosion resistance, a galvanazing treatment is added which can be free of chrome VI. To ensure high quality standards of Transtechnology Brasil products a complete process control is established to ensur high quality standard for Transtechnology Brasil products.

ELECTROPHORETIC PAINTING:
The phosphate surface is additionally protected by a subsequent painting process. This produces outstanding Corrosion resistance. However, the relatively thick coating of approx. 0.04 mm must not be overlooked.

COLOUR IDENTIFICATION
In addition to the colours generated in the heat treatment process, thin coatings of copper or brass can be used to the differentiate the products of TransTechnology Brasil Products.
